Unfortunately, not all service companies value your time as much as we do. At Overhead Door Company of St. Louis, we often have same-day service appointments. And let us know if you need a sticker near your garage door opener. We’ll give you one like we did for Eric!
6 months out of warranty (new home), my garage door breaks. I call the guys on the sticker (on the garage door), and got a rude rep but booked them anyways. Long story short they missed appointments and then tried to show up days later because they refused to cancel me.
Here is where Overhead Door [Company of St. Louis] comes in. They were the only ones in the area able to work with me on short notice. Staff on the call and on the job were extremely professional and friendly. They over-delivered on the service, courtesy, flexibility, and price. Overhead Door quite literally blew me away with how much better they made the experience.
I put their sticker over the one that came with the door. Keep it up guys. I will be back next time I have issues for sure.
If you’re dealing with an unexpected garage door issue, save yourself some time and frustration and just call these guys first. Night and Day when compared to the other guys.

When the spring broke on my garage door, Overhead Door came to fix it the same day. The repair man, Bob, was very kind, courteous, and professional. He explained what the repair would entail as well as options for a new garage door as ours is 23 years old and pretty worn out. Bob completed the repair in a timely manner and the price was very reasonable. Thank you, Overhead Door and Bob, for coming to the rescue! When we are ready for a new garage door, we will definitely give you a call!

I cannot speak highly enough of this company. We ordered a custom door to replace our ancient garage door that was too large for our opener. The company was professional and courteous. The installer (Dave) was super nice. He gave me updated as he was installing. When he was done, he packed up all of the old door and swept our garage! Our new door is silent, even and beautiful. Completely changed the look of the house. We love it! We will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a reliable company.

He installed safety cables on all the longitudinal springs (which were not there from the original late 1980’s installation). The new rollers and belt drive system are amazingly quiet. “I finally was fed up with my door not working properly, so I called Overhead Door just to see if I could get an estimate. After a little bit of jostling around on the phone, which was partially my fault for not properly verbalizing my needs, I was finally connected to a lady that offered me a couple options. When I hung up, I tried a quick fix that she suggested. It didn’t work, so I called back about 5 minutes later, around noon. She immediately scheduled a repair man to come out THAT AFTERNOON!
Zach arrived around 3:30. I explained my issue with the door not closing evenly when it finally would shut. I also sheepishly showed him my amateur attempt at insulating the door. He was working for roughly 45 minutes to an hour. Once he was done, he knocked on the kitchen door to let me know. The first thing I saw was that he fixed the insulation: I laughed at myself because I didn’t even notice the door opener being fixed. He then explained to me that he had to basically tear apart the whole opener to get to the culprit. He also lubricated the rollers on both doors just because they would eventually need it.
Zach went above and beyond, was friendly, professional, and fixed everything to where it was done right instead of just “making it work.” I would highly recommend Overhead Door and Zach.”

My name is Tom . Your team just finished doing work on our garage door at our home in Kirkwood. I just wanted to tell you that this whole experience with the Overhead Door team was a true WOW experience !
Mark led the way and he was the first person we dealt with. He is just as classy and as professional as can be and he represents you so very well as the sales rep who gets the ball rolling.
It all started when Mark came out earlier this week. My wife Mary Ann handled it all. She thought and expected that we would need a whole new door system / everything. Mark took a look at it all and told her NO, we did not need everything new/not a whole new system. We needed a tune up of what we had plus a new lift motor.
Not only did Mark save us $$$ but he created in Mary Ann – and me too – a confidence that Overhead Door not only knows what it is doing but that you all are honest, transparent, and you have the best interests of the customer in mind. Other companies might very well have just said sure, if you want a whole new system then we will give you a whole new system. Mark went the extra mile and made the extra effort to do what was best for us and we appreciate that very much, very much indeed.
Mark got the technical staff out to put in the new motor and do a few other things and they did a first class job too. Now we have a system that runs quieter than we even knew it could and it is as smooth running as we could ever have imagined.
You did a first class job on it all!
In the baseball game that is life and business, a person will never be able to steal second if they don’t have the courage to take their foot off first and go for it. The investment and risks that Overhead Door has undoubtedly made and taken over the years to build an honest and worthwhile team that adheres to a philosophy and work ethic that says : ” Exceed Customer Expectations As Much As Possible If Not Always ! ” – well that proves that OHD is not afraid take the shot and steal second.

Chris S. was our service technician today 2/27/14 and he was very courteous and early. He answered and explained every question I had about what we thought was to be needed and what really did need to be replaced. I did not get the feeling he was trying to replace everything on our unit just to mark up our bill. Just the opposite, I believed he was telling me and showing me just what needed to be done. He gave me the info and let me decide. He completed the job in a timely fashion, cleaned up the entire area when the job was completed. I was very happy with Chris and his courtesy, and the way he explained things to me. Chris was kind enough to break down the prices for me. If I need further service I will call Overhead and ask for Chris.
